In the mail.

Today I received a Pageant Magazine from 1951 I bought last week on eBay. Disneyana collectors like this issue because it contains an "Alice in Wonderland"-themed set of playing cards, so they'll sometimes pay up to $50, but I just searched off and on among the regular vintage magazine back-issue dealers, and finally found one last week for around ten bucks. Turns out the Alice card feature is just a thin set of tiny cards printed on six pages in the magazine (and they're even printed illogically back-to-back, though Alice does suggest in a one-page sidebar that kids might "buy two copies" of the magazine, then paste each card to some cardboard.)

Anyway, I was most impressed with the really cool back cover. Much better than the weird, unusable cards.
