Some of you may have heard of the Disney Dream Job Contest co-sponsored by CareerBuilder.com, which allowed people from around the country to create a 45-second video stating why they'd be the best choice to be a Disneyland "Cast Member" for a day. They were able to choose between Pirate, Princess, Parade Dancer, Jungle Cruise Skipper, or Haunted Mansion butler/maid.
If it weren't for the fact that I was in serious baby mode for the month of February (when the contest began), I would definitely have thrown my hat in the ring. But, of course, there were much more important things going on in the Baham household. C'est la vie.
The good news is that of the 19 finalists for "Haunted Mansion butler" selected by Disney from all the entries around the country, six of them are DoomBuggies.com fans (and five of them are full-fleged members of the message board community.) They are currently in the final rounds of voting and judging. I'm pretty proud of my DoomBugs (as they've elected to call themselves over the years.) How great will it be if one of my members gets to become a REAL Haunted Mansion butler for a day?
